How we compare credit cards

Last updated 21 Oct 2026

Where the information comes from

Every figure on MoneyVS comes from the bank's own public sources: the card's product page, its key facts statement or schedule of charges, and its published offer terms. Each card page links to the bank's page so you can check it yourself. We don't use figures from other comparison sites, forums or the banks' sales staff.

How often we check

We check every card against the bank's page every week. When a fee, salary requirement, earn rate or offer changes, we update the card. Each card shows the date it was last checked. If we can't read a bank's page in a given week, the card keeps its previous date so you can see it hasn't been rechecked.

How we show fees and requirements

How the card matcher works

The matcher only shows cards whose published minimum salary is at or below yours, and hides cards you can't apply for (like UAE-national-only cards, unless you say you're a UAE national). It then ranks cards on:

The match score is a guide to fit, not a recommendation. We use conservative spend figures (the bottom of the range you pick) so we don't overstate what you can unlock.

How we choose top picks

Top picks on guide pages are chosen by the MoneyVS editorial team, based on each card's published terms against the focus of that guide: the rate on that kind of spend, the fee, the salary needed and the conditions attached. Banks can't pay to be included or to be placed higher, and no card is left out because of a commercial relationship. Each pick says why it was chosen.

Card summaries

The summary on each card page is written by MoneyVS from the bank's published terms. It's our plain-English reading of who the card suits and the main catch, not advice for your situation.

What we cover

We currently cover consumer credit cards from Emirates NBD, First Abu Dhabi Bank, ADCB, Mashreq, HSBC UAE, Citibank UAE, Dubai Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Emirates Islamic. We don't yet cover every bank in the UAE, business cards or prepaid cards.

Corrections

If you spot something wrong, email hello@moneyvs.com with the card name and what's changed. We check it against the bank's page and fix confirmed errors as soon as we can.
